Fitbit won't charge beyond 0%

Hi, my Fitbit suddenly won't charge beyond 0%. I've left it on the charger for 2 days but no changes. Tried a hard reset and still the same outcome.

I've tried a factory reset but it turned off halfway during the factory reset procedure while connected to the charge and when turned on it it says that the data couldn't be deleted and I need to resync it. Resyncing it with my phone clears the error message but it still refuses to hold a charge.

Any ideas?

Hi @bryan_c, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for trying some troubleshooting steps before to posting over here. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know if the heart rate sensors are flashing or is your device completely unresponsive? If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check our help article: Why isn't my battery charging on my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes.

Looking forward to your reply.

Hi @RicardoFitbit ,

Unfortunately the heart rate sensor is not flashing at all. The device is responsive to button presses but that's about it. To be clear, it's not the the device doesn't charge, it shows as charging on the device screen when I resync to the Fitbit app on my phone (with the charging bar moving) but it never seems to be able to hold a charge and always stays at 0%. It dies the moment I disconnect it from the charger.

Let me know if you have some suggestions I can try.
