Serious question:
Are the Fitbits somehow programmed to stop working after the warranty expires? This is my second tracker that stops working completely, around the 14th month of purchase. The first time I was given a 25% off on a new one and I fell for it, now these folks are not gonna have my money again.
And yes, I unpaired the bluetooth, factory reset, turned off, and back on, deleted the app, installed it again, etc etc, Called twice and spoke to 2 different representatives. I did it all.
It was working fine, then it updated and that was it.
For all I've been reading in these forums, this is something that happens quite often...
Well... Lesson learned.
Making sure I'll spread the word, this time.

All mine have lasted 3 years some more.
How are you charging it?
See this thread for charging best practices. If you are not charging it correctly you could be damaging the battery

I know there are gonna be a million of Fitbits advocates jumping on to swear by the product, but let's do this. I use the original wire. Leave it charging on my desk, once it hits 100% it come back to my wrist.
Never showered or got it wet at all. As waterproof as those devices claim to be, I'm old school and always take everything off before handling water.
The device was operating PERFECTLY, it stopped working after an update.

Same situation as JuFit2016. What value is 25% off a basically sub quality device. Fitbit stock price says it all.

I doubt they have a killswitch programmed in or they design them to only last a year. But with the commonality of them dying in that time frame it seems that could be the case though it's more likely they just don't have the quality control to make a device that lasts that long.

There definitely should be much longer support on these guys. A 300 dollar yearly subscription on a watch is not ok.
