When you complete a run, will it show the path or is this just a generic picture it shows?

The screenshot the image is showing is the strava app which is one of the 3rd party apps shipping with the device. I'm guessing it will be down to the individual developers to include this. I haven't seen any screenshots of the native workout summer so can't say if that includes this feature.
