GPS tracking stuck on “searching”

In both run and bike exercises, my ionic no longer connects to GPS also resulting in my exercises no longer writing to strava. Last time it connected to GPS was 19 March 20202. I have reset to factory settings and reinstalled on my Fitbit app. It still doesn’t connect to GPS (I waited for 35 minutes). No tall buildings or cloud cover around on any of the days I tried.

Hi there. downloaded iExercise app today and its GPS connection was perfect. It might be the Exercise app itself that’s faulty🤷🏼‍:female_sign:

yeah, seems like since the last firmware update, GPS no longer works. I'm concerned because this was reported in January (there are some threads on it), but no fix or communication about a fix. Might be time to look somewhere else for a GPS watch...

I also don't have GPS working. Just searching.... have tried all the 'tips and tricks' suggested, but nothing works, and I can also not connect to Strava. I've had several fit-bits for over 5 years.  But this is so annoying I'm tempted to go back to Garmin now - just not good enough customer support - we all have to rely on each other to find answers.  Where are you FIT BIT? Please fix this issue that is affecting many people.

Try downloading the "iExersize" app and use that instead. This apps GPS worked when I tested it before our lockdown period started - It also wrote to Strava automatically.

It seems it’s the GPS on the old Exersize app that is not working rather than the fitbit device. Sadly there's no option to uninstall and reinstall the original app 😞
