Hello everyone!
I've been excited about the Ionic since the announcement, especially since I'm a software developer. Not only that, but I've recently begun my journey towards a healthier me. One of the things I want first is the ability to use my Ionic to get in at LA Fitness (my gym).
However, I know that there's a lot of other people out there in a similar situation with different gyms/grocery stores/etc that would want to use their Ionic instead of carrying around more cards.
Thus - I've started FitCard! FitCard (https://fitcard.io) is a site that allows you to add your membership cards to the site, and then sign in on your Fitbit app w/Ionic, and it will sync your cards from the site to the ionic.
I'm personally excited about it, but I wanted to see what the actual community interest is? I've already spent some money buying the domain and SSL cert for a year, as well as hosting. I've got a bunch of ideas for the app like the ability to use geo-fences to automatically bring a card up when you're near/at the establishment when you launch the app (if you have multiple for different places). Thoughts?
If you're interested in supporting me, I'd appreciate any support you may be willing to give via Patreon, as well as any comments or suggestions here.

Think that is a great idea. I was hoping someone would make something EXACTLY like this!

Looks good, could prove to be very useful. When will the app be available for the Ionic?

My goal is really by the end of this weekend, but may be slightly more or less. Depending on interest and my regular day to day.
I've also been mainly a backend developer for a while, and the Fitbit SDK for the Ionic is leveraging some concepts that are more recent in frontend dev (JSX for example). It looks rather straight forward, but I'll have to see.

Yes. I would love to see this.

Yes, this is something I would definitely be interested in. I could also see something similar, for things like museum memberships. I suppose some kind of universal standard would have to exist, though, so people couldn't just photoshop new expiration dates, etc. In the end, cutting the stack of cards we have to carry around all the time is a very good goal.

It's more complex than just entering a QR code. The LA Fitness app on my phone already has a place for your membership card, a QR code. It is not just a single code it's Dynamic and updates at some time interval.
