I am a Spartan Racer who depends upon my smart watch for tracking distance and elevation change on my runs, heart rate intensity during my workouts and quality of my sleep. My husband purchased the Fitbit Ionic for me as a Christmas gift last December. I was very happy with the product for about the first 6 months or so. It's battery life was 4 or 5 days, it seemed to sync regularly without issues, and the GPS and heart rate tracking appeared accurate. Unfortunately over the past few months the functionality of my device has severely degraded. The battery now only lasts 24 to 36 hours, I often have to restart both the Ionic and my phone for a successful sync, and I'm having issues both with the GPS tracking and heart rate monitor. It's not completely dead yet, but it sure seems headed that direction. I've seen multiple threads on this board about users having similar issues with their Ionics, but haven't seen any successful resolutions. Has anyone been successful in resolving these issues or is the answer a replacement under warranty? My Ionic was purchased directly from Fitbit and is only 10 months old. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Have you ever tried a simple Restart? Do it several times if necessary.

Hi,
I purchased my fitbit ionic in January 2018. Noticed the battery degradation about 1-2 moths ago. I lodged a ticket with the FITBIT contact number and was sent an email asking me to perform some resets of Apps on the watch. I performed a software reset followed by hardware reset (button push reset). All didnt resolve the issue. I tracked my battery performance for 3 days and finally responded to the ticket. I was getting slightly over 24Hrs on the watch down from the original 5-6 days.
Not expecting much, fitbit sent me an option to get my ionic replaced.
Which I took.
I hope you find this useful and you get your issue resolved as quickly as I did.

This Ionic is going to be a costly thing to fitbit. Mine also lastet just over one year and I received a replacement for my ionic that just died.

I have tried multiple restarts. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to resolve the issue.
