My Ionic seems to be working just fine.  Haven't tried music yet, but no problems whatsoever with the other apps.

I like the style (blue/bronze) and functionality.  We'll see about build quality as previous versions ChargeHR and Charge2 have left more than a little to be desired.

Only slight issue is that my Screen Wake has mysteriously (likely user error) reset itself to "manual" a couple of times...easy enough to fix.

Love the weather, alarms, and clockface (argyle).

This is only just the start of my third day, but I love it! The screen is amazing - so bright and clear. The apps all seem to work well (havent tried music yet as I dont have any bluetooth ear buds). I love the choice of clock faces and found one that is ME. It recognises my activities well - coped with a swim with good accuracy and the GPS worked on my bike ride today. And it is very comfortable, in spite of being quite big on my skinny wrist. More comfortable than the Alta HR at night too. Happy camper!

I am, so far, very pleased with the Ionic. I love the brightness and responsiveness of the screen. For me, at least, the HR tracking seems to be spot on. I was tracking it with a Garmin Vivoactive HR and the Elliptical HR tracking and the Ionic was always within 1 or 2 beats, and generally was in the middle. I cannot wait until we start to get some apps coming on board, and then I feel we will see the real power of this watch.

My only minor complaint is I hate the stock band. I cannot seem to get the fit right. It is either too loose or too tight.

I am overall pleased. I also have yet to try the music apps, but I tried the GPS this morning when I went to the dentist. I had to park off-site and decided to take the GPS for a spin. Worked great! A few syncing issues but they seemed to have resolved themselves. Did not track steps early this morning but after a restart they started tracking again.

I've been very happy, I've synced music, bluetooth headphones, used fitbit pay many times already, tracked sleep, heart rate during exercises (can get a bit iffy if I get sweaty and I'm not wearing it just perfectly, but mostly very good).

Love the watch, just looking forward to the expanded app capabilities and features that are expected in the next 3-6months (nothing official there, just a gut feeling).

I like it a lot.

I'm sure I will get to love it once some apps (like an in-watch calendar, gps location -if possible- and more clock faces, even a game would be really nice) come through.

I love mine, and it has encouraged me to go for my first 2 runs in 15 years! I get my exercise through playing sports, volleyball, tennis, and soccer, but I have always loathed running.

The combination of the cardio fitness score (I know that was also on my old blaze), and the on board music have made me go for 2runs to try it all out in the past week.

I also love being able to change watch face colors, gives me a new look every few days.

Count me in. Had it for about a week and a half now, and I enjoy it. thankfully also have not had any of the issues people post about here, so that helps.

Great post.

Yes, a very happy camper here too! Loved my Charge HR 2 but unfortunately nearly left Fitbit after a few issues with said hardware, but the customer services came through and turned this around for me.

I was buzzing when I heard about the Ionic, and everything seems in good order with it so far. The Optical HR and GPS are major positives for me, and like many have said - I'm looking forward to seeing how things will develop as time goes by.

Also, and on a final note - I love this community bit on the website too, it's helped me with a lot of questions that I've had and I love the vibe I get from it. #Fitfam.

One week of ownership for me and very much liking this.  I don't care a whole lot about smartwatch features so basic notifications work for me. I prefer the HR sensor and fitness app to what the Apple watch uses.  Also, I prefer the look with the perforated leather to the AW.  And I got 6 days of battery on my first charge.  It will be fun to see the improvements made to the platform over time.  Biggest gripe so far is the music implementation is a joke.  I don't buy MP3s any more.  They need to figure out a better way.  That and I wish it tracked cadence during runs.

I've had mine for a little over 2 weeks, and in the beginning, it was a little rough (new technology always is, and I fully expected it).  Once I worked through the set up though, it's been great.  I have little wrists (like 6.5") and it's not too big for me, the screen is bright & beautiful, I've got downloaded music & Pandora that works flawlessly, as did the pairing with my blue-tooth headphones, my weather works, I can pay for coffee with my phone, heart rate is good.  The only things I haven't been able to test as of yet are the GPS, (my foot is in a cast for another 4 weeks) and FitPay (as my bank is not on the list as of yet)

All in all, I'm very pleased.

I love the Ionic.  Once i got past installing the latest update and trying to get my wifi to work ive had no futher problems.

I personally dont care about putting music on my watch.  I stream everything on my iphone.  The alarm app works great with no problems.  The alarm wakes me up in the morning.  I have 5 different apps set up for Mon-Fri.

Very happy with mine! Can’t wait for more apps! I hope they make a hydration tracking app where we can log our hydration right on the Ionic. This would be so helpful for me!

I feel Fitbit pushed out the Ionic to fast. The people that bought it are are beta testers like me. I just hope they get there problems resolved fast.

I don't know about happy because a lot of stuff doesn't work or is a pita right now (Pay, Music) but I'm certainly comfortable with mine.

Now the sync issues seems to have gone away I can focus on the watch and have had it for a week so the big things for me (and the reason to get it and return the charge 2) was GPS and HR.

HR is so much better, so much so it's nearly as good as a strap when it gets going.

GPS is at least on par with what connected gps was doing (when it worked) on the charge 2.

Swimming and water proofing also makes a decent difference as well.

The happiness though doesn't come because of the price, right now it is massively overpriced for what I'm getting over other Fitbits.

Hopefully with time they'll get the other things working smoother and add feature so then it will become a great watch.  Thing has a helluva lot of potential.
