Heart rate sensor is consistently at zero. The back of the watch is still shining the green light and obviously I am not dead, so what is up?

Hmm?  Would check in Settings on the watch that Heart Rate is still On.  Scroll down until it appears.  It might have turned Off for some weird reason.  Failing that do a restart a few times.  Failing that would call Tech Support right away and see if they can get it to work for you.  Would suspect if defective -> they will offer you a replacement device.  Let me know.

Really there is no need to suffer in Frustration - simply call Tech Support at 877-623-4997 and get your Ionic replaced right now while you can
Many have followed this straightforward advice and now have a replacement Ionic - we all should have “zero tolerance” for any defective Ionic
