Same issue here Me...
Bricked original Ionic due to failed update.
”New” Ionic sent as original was still under warranty, the “new” ones heart rate sensor doesn’t work.
Refund time as it appears there are defects with the product that render it unfit for the purpose intended, I.e. not of merchantable quality.

Hi @Semmyconcious
After the update, my Heartrate sensor does not work either, the BATTERY from 100% drains in 5 hours.
At the moment is as useful as a brick, wont even make a good doorstop .

Yup, so for CLARITY,
Original Ionic bricked whilst updating firmware.
Brand new replacement Ionic.
Updated to latest firmware upon removal from the box.
Update went fine.
Issues are:-
1. No Heart Rate Sensor
2. No sleep tracking
3. Battery went from 100% to 40% in under 24hrs
For admin/moderator - I am screenshotting these posts as they seem to be dissapearing

Hah, “New” case opened so they can look into the issue....
Sounds like a delaying tactic to me.
The issue is either a bugged firmware release or a faulty item (bearing in mind this is a “new” replacement Ionic.

And another round of trying resets of varying flavours to no avail....

And another free replacement...
To be honest should this be a bust I will be placing a case in small claims court as they have denied a refund (good luck with that Fitbit, as under U.K. law if the goods are not fit for the purpose intended I will win with costs).
