Heart rate not sensing, steps won't stop working

It’s been over a week now since my ionic stop working properly. It’s not sensing my heart rate and my steps are over the top. Even when I’m on resting mode my steps just counting and it would reach at least 60,000 to 80,000 steps per day! All other features work okay. I already reset to factory settings but that didn’t work as well. And now Fitbit is giving me 40% discount on a new one! It’s just a little over 2 years! Are these gadgets really last this long? So disappointing! Maybe it’s time for Apple Watch...

No Idea why this is considered an "accepted solution" - there is no fix to this issue and you are likely out of luck on a warranty since the manufacturer seemed to have programmed these issues to occur just outside the warranty period.

 

I bought my wives at the same time as mine - and now hers is having the exact same issues as mine. Best they can do is 40% for some people IF they buy another Ionic. One lucky poster was able to get a free replacement outside his warranty - I'm curious why this isn't being offered to everyone?
