How do I add a Middle Stat?

Under my hiking activity setup, Customize Stats,  I see the opportunity to add Middle Stat and some check boxes when I try to designate 1 for middle stat there seems to be no way to add it?  FYI this would be a great place to add pave in mile per hour.

It's great to see you around @Kearley62. Thanks for the details mentioned. I'm glad to hear that you're hiking with your Ionic. 

The middle stat will show you all the other stats that won't be showing in the top and bottom stat. This won't be static as the other two, that's why you have all the check boxes to choose the many stats that you want in your Ionic. Please confirm that you're doing this procedure to change your stats. 

If you're not able to select the middle stats then restart your watch and try once again.
