How do I get ionic to do factory reset?

Can't find how to get factory reset after using the 3 button reset to get ionic to take a charge today. Was in chat twice with customer service and directed to update. It would not work. All I have is the welcome message referring me to setup site.

From the manual:

Erase Ionic
If you want to give Ionic to another person or wish to return it, first clear your personal data:
On Ionic, open the Settings app > About > Factory Reset.

The manual is here:  https://staticcs.fitbit.com/content/assets/help/manuals/manual_ionic_en_US.pdf

Thanks Cross Country Runner. Sorry to report that this has not helped yet. Everything was working until the battery went dead and I didn't charge it for a couple of weeks. When I couldn't get it to show any response wbile it was charging, I looked in the community and found the 3 button reset suggestion. I did this and then it took a charge. But now I believe it all needs to be reset. It says my phone is not comparable though I was using it fine for the last 6 months. Also, I do not think I have Windows 10 on my desktop. I had no problem setting it up when I purchased the Ionic about a year and a half ago. Two chats with support were cut off while I was trying to do as they were requesting. Although it was the same 3 button reset I had already done. Still trhing to find a way to get it to reset. I can't set it up again because it shows that I habe already set up tbis device. Thanks for trying to help.

@Christmas-day, if you are seeing the welcome screen then you have successfully completed a factory reset.

The next step I recommend doing is making sure that the Ionic is removed from your fitbit account and also go into you phone/devices Bluetooth settings and unpair it from there. Once you've done that, go back into the fitbit app and set up device again.

Thanks for trying to help. I still can't get it to load. Now as it is trying to find the device it says it's found but keeps indicating problems with Bluetooth. It is turned on. I have tried turning off and restarting with no luck. So my fitbit is reloaded but the ionic itself will not be set up. Very frustrating. I guess I just have to give up at this point. Thanks all who tried to help.

Thanks for trying to help. There must be some kind of tech issue either with my phone or fitbit as it keeps saying device has been found but then it cuts off connecting saying Bluetooth problems.

@Christmas-day make sure that the device is removed from your account in the fitbit app and also that it is unpaired in your phones Bluetooth settings, then try the setup again.
