Hi guys,
Bought the Ionic as my Garmin Vivoactive HR broke down on me last week. It takes 3 weeks to replace so meanwhile I bought the Ionic to try how I like it and maybe keep it as my main.
First notices (comparing to the Garmin):
Screen goes off (My garmin was always on, and reached 4 days including runs, workouts etc). I know the trick of some watch faces.
Not all notifications come through (Messenger is not sending any, but I guess I'm lucky my notificatoins at least work)
Not enough adjustable data fields (Garmin you can edit sometimes 8 datafiels in 1 screen to set the running app as you personal prefer: I like: average pace, , real pace, HR, time covered, distance, and real time. I can't get this on the Ionic. Maybe in a costum app later.
The Golf app is not released yet (Works perfect on my Garmin)
Sometimes the ionic is slow while swiping the screens
Notifications gives vibrate but I need the tap the screen to see them, same with incomming call. I prefer to see them right away (I use my watch for business). I know some people like it like this so why not make it toggle?
but, how can I see my workout/running stats after a workout. I know I can see them in my phone, but I don't always have my phone on me and still want to see the statistics. On my garmin it stores on the watch but where can i find them on the Ionic.
Further I like the style of the watch. Small yet classy (that why I used the Garmin Vivoactive HR, it's small...)
Keep up helping each other guys, and for now I wish you all the best in 2018!
Best AnswerSo I need a mobile to view my workouts?
I don't always have my mobile on my when I finish training and want to compare the workout on the watch. So that's not possible? On my Garmin it was... That realy is to bad...
How can I make and name workouts myself? Didn't find that out yet..
Best AnswerYour workouts are not stored on Ionic, therefore you need mobile to view past activities.
