I was able to get Amazon Music onto my Ionic with no problems! I am an older lady that has had computers since they ran on DOS before Windows. Yeah, I'm THAT OLD... Back in the day, you had to go directly to the folders/files on your computer. I run Windows 10 on my computer. After fiddling around with the instructions and not having much success here's what I did:
Connected my Ionic to my laptop. I have a "Music" folder on my computer where my Itunes songs are saved. I created another folder under the "Music" folder named "Amazon Music". I downloaded the songs I wanted from Amazon Music to the new Amazon Music folder. Dragged the files into the Fitbit Music app on the computer. Started the sync and went to bed - we old ladies need our beauty sleep! Voila! In the morning all 111 songs were on my Ionic!
Wore my Ionic and Flyer headphones to work today, I was loud and proud! Old school won the day!
Also, my phone is an HTC 10. Fitbit website says the 10's not been tested with the app but it works just fine for me!

I thought Amazon Music encrypted it's data/music, so even better !!

My understanding is that music files downloaded that are from the streaming service are encrypted. However, music files that are purchased through Amazon are available for mp3 download without encryption.
Just didn't want anyone to purchase Amazon's streaming service for this purpose and think they could get the music on the Ionic.

I have Amazon Music Unlimited and I am paying for Pandora so I can listen to music thru my watch. Are you saying I can do this also with the same steps you took and get my Amazon music on my watch so I can cancel my Pandora act?

Hi @djrego,
It's been a few months since I had Amazon Music Unlimited, but I don't think it would work. Those files need Amazon's music player to play them, and I couldn't ever find the raw mp3 files that the Ionic would require to be loaded.
However, music that I had purchased through Amazon, and had downloaded as mp3, worked fine loaded onto the Ionic. Hope that helps.

Brilliant! I am an old guy too, (my first computer was an Atari that cost $7900 in 1979) and I was wondering how to do this.
Super simple.
Thanks!
Rock on!

I couldn't find any raw MP3 files for my music on Amazon either.

Does anyone know if this would also work for Versa?

If it works for the Ionic, it should work with the Versa too. Both support mp3 files.

It depends entirely on what kind of "Amazon Music" you're referring to. I've purchased music from Amazon mostly and so have a decent sized library on my computer. In "%USERPROFILE%\Music\Amazon Music" folder, all music that you purchased from Amazon should be stored and you'll have the MP3s you can drag and drop into your Versa. I know this because I received a Versa from my family and spent some time yesterday loading it.
Unfortunately though, if you have the Prime Unlimited Music account, these songs cannot be transferred as they're locked files. I'm looking forward to getting this available as I LOVE my Prime Unlimited account and refuse to pay for Pandora just to have it on my Versa.

Is getting Amazon Music for the Ionic a possibility? I just bought the Ionic and was so excited to use this feature, but ALL of my songs are with Amazon and only a few purchased outside of the monthly membership. It looks like I would need to purchase Pandora in order to do this and that is not an option. I'm tied to Amazon for many reasons.
