I purchased the Ionic Fitbit on launch day in Germany and it has been buggy and disappointing ever since. My biggest frustrations are the limited and inaccurate running metrics. The latest firmware update hasn't fixed any of my problems with it.
Unfortunately, as I bought it at a store (MediaMarkt), I have no legal right to return it. I'll take it up with Fitbit first, but am not feeling hopeful at the moment. Has anyone found themselves in a similar situation?
Hi, @pedris, under EU consumer law your device is guaranteed for 2 years. If it is not working properly, then you should take this up with the store where you purchased it -- at least that is how it works in the UK. However, if the German law is the same as in the UK, the store does not have to refund you. They have the option of offering you a replacement device instead, as long as you can convince them, and they agree, that yours is not working properly.
I doubt that you will get very far with a not fit for the purpose for which it was sold or false advertising claim.

Thanks, Julia. It's a bit more complicated if it's a general problem with all Ionics. A quick look at these community discussion threads shows that a large number of people, if not most, are having problems with their devices.
Best AnswerUnfortunately only people with problems post here. How do you know how many owners are satisfied with their Ionic?

Look at the nature and topics being posted, that answers your question.
And the list of "happy" topics continues ...
Best AnswerI'm not satisfied with mine, I have to literally slap the face up to ten times before it comes on, it stopped tracking steps and active minutes by half, using same route every day. Very unhappy, and return period is up.

Because that is the nauture of a help forum. You did say most people are having problems, that is a stretch considering the number sold.
