Hi @Sdhardy if you go into the Account tab of the mobile app and click on your Ionic, scroll down a little and one of the options is Wrist. Click on that to select either Dominant or Non-Dominant hand. Sensitivity is then adjusted.

This confused me at first when I got the Ionic. With other trackers like the Charge 2, you can set Wrist to Right or Left and Handedness to Lefty/Righty. But with the Ionic, Wrist is set to Dominant or Non-dominant. I don't see anywhere in the app or web dashboard to set left/right with the Ionic?

Not really sure where the confusion sets in. Selecting “Dominant” will make the Ionic less sensitive to movement, on the assumption you’re moving your dominant hand more 😉

The Settings page details Dominant as the one you write with as an example. Ok, my error in assuming one could work out which one of your hands was dominant. I’d thought that’d be easy to work out but can see that perhaps for non-English speaking that might be a problem. But then again, I don’t know how the localised versions of the app translate the page, if indeed there are localised versions.

I think we're on different wavelengths?
On the charge 2, I can tell it which wrist is dominant, and which wrist I'm wearing the tracker on.
On the Ionic, where does one specify which wrist is being worn, regardless of dominance? Sorry if it's a simple setting I missed.

Possibly. I don’t have a Charge 2 and never saw the setting for Flex 2. I’ve just looked at my daughter’s Charge HR account and you’re right. A setting I’ve not seen before. Sorry.

The ionic is not interested in handed-ness (left dominant or right dominant) beyond which wrist the watch is on
If you're right handed, the following settings apply (left hand is next paragraph):
-If you wear the watch on the right wrist, mark "dominant,"
-if you wear the watch on the left wrist, mark "non-dominant"
If you're left handed, the following settings apply:
-if you wear the watch on the right wrist, mark "non Dominant"
-if you wear the watch on the left wrist, mark "dominant"
The watch does not make any changes beyond sensitivity to movement regarding dominance. All settings are otherwise the same. Hope this helps!
