Based on my experiences over the last 6 years I'm sure this new Fitbit will live up to its stated objectives..

I'm looking forward to the combination of Surge and Fitbit and have committed to a pre-order.. Slightly dearer in Australia and only 12 months warranty..

@wmchapman I will also keep the forum posted. If it performs as accurately as the Surge I will be happy.  No App/phone to worry about.

All of the major Fitbit retailers here are advertising pre-order at the same price so they must be confident of stocks.

Please do, and let us know your general impressions when you get it. I'm thinking you may have it in your hands by mid to late September.

I'm pretty sure I'll order mine in the next two weeks as well.

I just can't wait to hold an Ionic in my hands... and wear it. Smiley Very Happy

They usually hit the stores around the same time they start shipping the pre-orders, so I am going to wait and just go buy one.

@bcalvanese it actually says it's going to start shipping in September on the thread "all about the ionic" and on the pre-order page it says it will ship in is 2 to 3 weeks so I think people who pre-ordered will get it sooner than the release date in October.

How soon did it come before the pre-order date?  I’ve pre-ordered the Versa, and the release date is 4/16.  I’m hoping I get it before the 7th.  What’s you all’s experience?

@RMorst In my case with the Ionic I was able to pick it up on the date that Fitbit advised would be the World release date.. In Australia. Great effort..

@WendyB I will be keen to hear about your experience.  I have a raincheck on the Versa because my Ionic is working as one would expect from Fitbit.
