IONIC Stopped working

My Fitbit Ionic is just 2 yrs old, suddenly the watch displayed the logo for a while and then went dead. Contacted the support center and was given soem trouble shooting tips, that did not revive the watch.

Now i am told that there is no service center in India and i can buy a new watch. That is unbelievable, this is an expensive watch and i just cant throw this away. Is there something that can be done??

Same here! Mine less than 2 years old (purchased on 12/04/18) and stopped working 3 days ago. It charged just fine two nights prior to that. While wearing it it started to vibrate, I looked at the screen and it was stuck in the “exercise” screen. I attempted to push the home button to clear that screen, but it was stuck. The screen started to “flicker/flash” and went black. It hasn’t turned back on since, even after putting it on the charger again.

It hasn’t been dropped, overheated, submerged in water, gotten dusty/dirty, etc. The help line is closed so I’ll have to wait to speak to them to see what they say.
What tips did they give you in trying to get yours working again?

This is what i was recommended, basically a factory reset.

As we have discussed, we recommend that you perform a factory reset on your watch. -On the watch, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds. -When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive). -When the device vibrates, release all buttons. -Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays Fitbit.com/setup. -When the watch successfully resets, use the normal out of the box process of updating the firmware (see : How do I set up my Fitbit device?)

Infact i was just going thru my correspondence with the Fitbit support and i now realise that fitbit does not have a service center across the world. So if your product is under warranty you are in luck, else just plain bad luck. I only wish i had done a little more research on fitbit.

I was just disconnected (not by my choice) from a chat with an agent named Mark. After going through all the steps of “resetting or rebooting” the device (all of which I had already done prior to starting the chat), he offered me a 25% discount coupon to purchase a new watch. It was a moot point when I pointed out that the watch is a year and a half old and they are quite expensive, along with the fact that my watch is not subjected to half of what they claim that it can withstand. It’s cleaned regularly, never submerged in water, etc. In a nutshell, it was a take it or leave it offer, which is really disappointing because I’ve loved both Fitbit watches I’ve owned. There was no willingness/ability to compromise or even an offer to figure out a prorated amount to purchase a replacement through them. Unfortunately, my replacement will not be a Fitbit.
