Hi
i contacted fitbit support and they were hopeless. They made me send them videos of me hard resetting it, to only tell me to mail it to the Netherlands! and on top of that they want me to pay for shipping! They wont even give a return label which is unbelievable!
Any suggestions on what else I can to bring this piece of plastic junk to life?

It has a 1 year warranty so even in your country you should be able to return it to the store for a replacement some countries have a longer law written warranty that supersedes fitbits 1 year one. Either way simply take it back to where you purchased it and get a new one.

@SunsetRunner It may seem a pointless question but you don’t mention it anywhere; have you actually charged it? It may well be the battery is flat out of the box.

If you are in the Netherlands (i suppose, or somewhere in the EU), you should contact the reseller and tell them the story.
They should allways replace it if it is less then 1 or 2 years old (1 year in the EU i think and 2 years in the Netherlands).
Or they have to repair it, but you should get a working version.
Paying for the costs of sending the package is normal and (almost) everywhere in the world.
