Iconic not receiving messages or calls

Can't get messages or call without phone being on. I get the message "can't receive messages or can't calls because phone is mute.  What?? !

Hold on, are you saying you can’t get messages on the actual Ionic? Never seen that message...

Are the Bluetooth settings on in your phone?  Is the Fitbit app allowed to receive notifications from your phone?  Both of these options need to be turned on for your watch to receive notifications.

Have tried all those suggestions.  Many thanks.  If my phone's ringer is on or on vibrate it works.  Not sure why.

Yes. However, if the phone's ringer or vibrate is on, I get the messages.
That seems crazy.

Yes the Bluetooth is on and I have "checked" every box for notifications.
The only way I am receiving messages is my phone's ringer has to be on or
it needs to be on vibrate.

After the update, I don’t receive text or calls . i had it both ways-mute / not mute , always vibrations.

this update sucks big time.

I have the same problem.  It ALWAYS says "Nothing new here" .. after a call, a text or an email.  And this is only after upgrading to v2.1

I just received the ionic and I can't get any txt messages at all! Called FB and they said they are fixing the issues. I have even exchanged the watch thinking it was the individual one, but it wasn't! I have done every technique and every possible solution but nothing worked!

 Really sucks since they have had this watch out for some time now.
