New Adidas ionic, after a week or so the heart rate function works sporadically sometimes not reading for days. Have tried the trouble shooting ( wrist placement, restarting, etc. ) with little to no luck. Especially overnight it can't track my sleep due to inconsistent heart rate. I use fitbit sport band that came with the device and wipe it clean daily. Any help much appreciated. Thanks in advance

This was a light 90 minute run:
If my heart were really doing this, I don't imagine I would have made it anywhere near 90 minutes. lol

My Ionic heart rate has also been rediculously erratic. I jog in place in the evening for about 45 minutes and my Fitbit is logging 140-160. I stop and check my pulse and it's 110-120.
I've rebooted. I've moved the tracker 1,2, & 3 fingers from my wrist bone. I've tried it looser, tighter. Within 5 minutes it's the same. I start having any "bounce" in my step and the heart rate goes nuts.
This is jogging in place. The dips are me fiddling with the strap
This is actual running.
This is my second Ionic (the first one bricked itself on the last firmware update). I didn't have this issue at all with my old one.

My first ionic worked great for 1-1/2 years, then last month started showing the erratic behavior shown above. It used to read not much different than a polar chest strap. So I decided that I would continue with the Ionic and ordered one off of Amazon. Out of the box (once properly set up) it showed erratic heart rates when exercising. So, returned that one and got another, same thing. The new ones function well otherwise. No problem syncing, connecting, or apps working. I am an experienced user, so I know where to place it on the wrist and etc.
If anyone has ideas I would appreciate it.

My Ionic is still being a source of frustration. Jogging in place still gets the heart rate up into a consistent 160-170 range. I am in decent shape but 30 minutes at that rate should have me barely able to speak much less sing to my workout music. This is my third, but definitely my last Fitbit
Jogging in place. Heart taken manually was 120bpm
