My IONIC never measures my walk the same way.  I do the same walk every in about the same amount of time.  The measurement yesterday was 5.6 mikes which is what my old ONE used to measure it as.  Today I did the same walk exactly and it measured 3.6 miles.  It also drastically reduces my step count when the GPS is off as well.  Can anyone help?

When it uses your GPS, the Fitbit uses GPS tracking data from GPS and GLONASS satellites. When you don't use GPS, it tries to estimate your steps by using (stride length x # of steps). It's not going to be that accurate without GPS. In conclusion, swinging your arms also affects the step count.

I am more concerned about the inconsistency of measuring the distance when using GPS than the step count. But thanks!
