Have use my Ionic for one week now. Just been used for daily use, not running etc... But it does not measure the right heart rate.... tried several times to wear it correct on my rist. When I walk uphills, I know that my heart rate will be ca 120-130 b/m. But on my watch, it says maybe 114....
Anyone else that have the same experience?

Hey there @lailahod, it's nice to see you around the forums! Have you just bought your Fitbit Ionic? If so, since it's new, give the heart rate a few days to settle down. It does some calculations, looking at heart rate throughout the day and while you are sleeping, so it might just not have enough data to give a reasonable value yet.
On the other hand, as you may know your tracker can have difficulty finding a signal, typically due to the tracker's fit. For example, wearing your band tightly may constrict blood flow in your wrist and affect the signal. We recommend experimenting with how high you place the tracker on your wrist. When you're not exercising, wearing the tracker just above the wrist bone--as you would a watch--typically works fine. However, moving the tracker up a couple inches can be helpful during high-intensity exercises or exercises that cause you to bend your wrist frequently. I know have done this, but please review our recommendations for wear and other tips shared by @SantiFitbit.
If you're wearing the tracker correctly and the heart rate setting isn't turned off, try changing the setting (either Auto to On or On to Auto) and then syncing your tracker. The change won't take affect until you sync. If heart rate still doesn't appear after the sync, try restarting your tracker in a row and wait at least 60 seconds before checking heart rate again.
Let me know if this helps!

Thanks for the quick response. I try wearing it 24/7 (I`ve taken it of in the night earlier). But, I can't find out where to switch the heart rate to auto? ? On my watch its only on or off. On the dashboard i can't find it...(I've tried to open my account and look for "heart rate" there , but can't find it)

Hey there @Kazza1966, thanks for jumping in here! Have you tried what I suggested here?
I'm sorry for the late response guys, I'm here! To change the heart rate setting on all devices except Ionic:
(On the fitbit.com dashboard, click the gear icon in the top right > Settings > find the option to change your Heart Rate setting.)
The default setting of Auto is appropriate for most people; the heart-rate tracker is active when you are wearing it and is inactive when you remove it. If there are times when your heart rate isn’t being tracked even though you are wearing your tracker, you can choose On.
On Ionic, open the Settings app and then tap Heart Rate to adjust this setting.
Looking forward to your response!

there's no adjustment for heart rate on my ionic. it's either on or off. my calories burned is not as accurate as my charge HR was. I consistently burn 500 calories less than i take in and i lose no weight. With my charge HR as long as i was accurate with my calorie intake the weight just FELL off. Since this thread is specific to the IONIC please be specific on how to address the heart rate issue with that model. What can be done to correct the heart rate issue with the IONIC? Thanks for your help

Did you ever get this issue fixed? I've had mine since December and mine has never worked right. I workout at least 4 days a week on a bad week and running it says 114 lol .I have to use the heart rate things on the machines .it's a super expensive watch and I love the water proof and style in the overall functions. I hate the heart doesn't work right and probably won't purchase Fitbit product again and will stick with Garmin as they alawys worked right w me. I've had the blaze and now the ionic and can't really say either we're worth what I paid. However being a smart watch wearer for about 5 years now and working out with them I couldn't do with out it . I won't spend this kind of money on one again unless I know it works right. If anyone finds a resloution please lete know and yes I've tried moving it while I workout

I've now tried everything that was recommended .. The heart rate function is still very unstable!! F exemple, I know from my Polar my heart beat is 160 b pr minute... But my Ionic say 109... I'm sitting doing intervall on a bike almost no movements on my rist, have my ionic right placed on my rist.
I'll never buy such an expensive clock again... Just go use it to sell how many steps I walk each day and to be able to read small om my clock. No kudos from me!!

The app crashes since 2010, login problem everytime that I try to use my android app... now the ionic show 110, while my polar show 150 and my gym equipment 149. 200 pounds for a a sh**ty equipment. I am done.. going to by a garmin or some other brand. I am done with fitbit.
