My last full charge was on October 1 @ 10:30 AM. It is now October 6 @ 8:00 AM and I have 30% left on my Ionic.
I have notifications enabled and have even used GPS for about 30 minutes during that time. I have some alarms enabled too. The only thing I have disabled is the screen turning on when I turn my wrist. I wear the Ionic 24/7 and it tracks my sleep.
I have never had this kind of battery life with my Blaze. It would seem that I can certainly go 6 to 7 days on a full charge under my normal usage.
Did I just get a good device, or is this normal performance?! I have friends that have an Apple Watch and are lucky to get a day or two out of it.

Let me guess I bet you have never had a single issue with your Fitbit syncing and The notifications work flawlessly every time.
Don’t get me wrong I like Fitbit’s I just don’t see them as un-flawed devices.

I had to restart it once in order to get it to sync. So far I have not seen a problem with the notifications. Small issues here and there which most probably will be taken care of with a firmware upgrade.
Happy fitbiting!

Ionic battery life at 5 days and 10 hours GPS tracking is very respectable but not best. I'm thinking of doing a sprint triathlon in the spring, a friend has Garmin 935 and battery life is fantastic. Rated at 2 weeks (24x7 HR, sleep tracking), and 24 hours GPS tracking. Think that is tops, as good as it gets. Vivoactive 3 also has very long battery life (13 hours GPS, 7 days).
By comparison I get about 18 hours GPS tracking on my iPhone 7 (in airplane mode), good enough for all day hiking, or major cycling events where I've got GPS tracking turned on for 10-16 hours. And far easier to charge on the go with a little Anker lipstick battery pack.
Aria, Fitbit MobileTrack on iOS. Previous: Flex, Force, Surge, Blaze

Was a PITA however syncing and notifications are flawless for me now.
* On the very latest android OS and Pixel phone.
* Turned off all day sync
* Turned off always connected.
The thing that pissed me off about it is the Fitbit app which appears half baked, all sorts of inconsistenies. And basic stuff missing like not being able to set the alarm ringing duration etc.
I'm also pissed off about having to keep on location on the phone but that's Android's fault. At least turning it off does not screw up notifications.

Oh my, do I detect some snark?
Please understand, all I said was the battery life for the Ionic is very good; if you want to make it into something else, that's on you.

Exactly... this is a tracker watch... Usage is most important... If i exercise 3 hours a day... and run 45 minutes I need the battery to last at least 10 days without recharging... it is definitely a great looking watch, the features are amazing, but they should drastically improve battery life... I have a charge 2 and it doesn't have the ionic's features, but i'm happy that it doesn't need charging although I work out for +2 hours with tracking on a daily basis... I do want to upgrade, but i don't like the ionic's battery life... and i'm sure with more usage, battery life won't cut it
