I'd try cycling first, because distance for run/hike/walk expects to see steps. Cycling is the only generic GPS tracking mode.

I tried cycling. But after finishing activity I wanted to change it in aplication for roller skating. However, aplication is not allowing it - it says that:
Activity Type can only be updated to BIKING, RUNNING, WALKING or HIKING for Exercise with GPS.
So I can't change the type of activity and, therefore, to log roller skating. How can I do that?
I want to separate biking from roller skating in my stats. But it is impossible.
If I knew that it is not possible to track roller skating I wouldn't decide to buy Fitbit Ionic. I'm pretty disappointed with that.
The second thing is that I connected Fitbit with Endomondo. I can change activity type in Endomondo, but after next synchronization it returns to activity in Fitbit. So I can't also log roller skating in Endomondo 😕

@izawoj5 A couple of days ago I created this feature request to be able to rename any activity... Your vote will help..
When Endomondo changes it you can change it back again. After some time Endomondo will honor your change.
Btw for inline skating I'm using running activity which works quite well. Then in Endomondo I change it to inline skating.
Best AnswerI was trying to change one training in Endomondo about 10 times for two hours. But when it was connecting with Fitbit it was coming back to the beggining evey time.
The only solution I found was to make in the beggining or in the end one few seconds training with Fitbit. When I combine two trainings in Endomondo - then it's ok.
