Every time I try to set my interval timer,  it resets to the default every time I sync it. It’s one of the main reasons I got the ionic-bc of the interval timer

@Plc84 Welcome to the Fitbit forums! Thanks for taking the time to report the situation you are experiencing with Ionic not saving your exercise settings.

Fitbit is aware of this issue, but may not be able to provide a fix in the immediate future. I will continue to monitor the situation, and keep our team informed of the impact to you and other customers. I understand that this isn't the resolution you're hoping for, but rest assured we're always working to improve our products.

For the moment, you will need to change the exercise settings every time at the beginning of your activity.

I am sorry for any trouble. I appreciate your patience and look forward to getting you back on track.

Let me know if I can help you with anything else! Smiley Happy

I have just written to support with the same issue. The watch seems to override the settings in the exercise shortcut settings instead of the other way round. Sometimes it seems to work as designed but I cannot fathom what circumstances seem to make it work!

i’ll see what sort of response i get from support.

I've been having this issue too. It's so frustrating! I find that setting the timer in the app and then restarting my watch does the trick so synch them properly. It's a bit of the pain but it's something?

Hi there,

I am experiencing the same issue. It's very frustrating I cannot use the interval training function and it's such a basic function. Is there still no solution for this problem?

Many thanks,

Paddy

It’s been radio silence from support I’m afraid Paddy. I’ve pretty much given up hope of them fixing it as they don’t even keep me updated!
I got the “thanks for all the details, we’ll be in touch” on July 24th 2019 but nothing since!!!

Thanks for the reply.

It seems to work when you sync it about 20 times and turn it off and on again but not ideal. Often I train with only a 10 second break because It’s the only setting it’ll allow me 😂

It’s fitbit’s way of getting you fit faster! 10 second breaks!

Dear SantiR; I see that your post is from 2019 and unfortunately 2 years later (2021) the issue still there.  Is there any solution for this problem (different than upgrading to Garmin) from Fitbit team?

I appreciate your comments.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Guayusei.

Thank you for joining the thread and sharing that you're experiencing the same issue. I understand how you are feeling about this situation and appreciate your feedback. I would like to confirm if you've tried the following:

  1. Log out from the Fitbit app.
  2. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  3. Reboot your phone.
  4. Open the Fitbit app and log back into your account.
  5. Restart your watch: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
  6. Set the interval timer and sync your watch.
