Hello,
Don't know if this is the right forum to post but was directed to the Community Forums from talking with Fitbit Customer Service. Probably more of a suggestion at this point but was hoping that other music apps like Amazon Music (what I use) will become available on the Ionic for streaming and storing music. I don't really utilize MP3, etc. files anymore (probably been 5 years) and not really interested in having to pay for another music service just to get music on this device.
I was hoping someone from Fitbit engineering or marketing, etc. had any information on whether other music services (mainly Amazon) were looking to develop apps for the Ionic. It may make sense I need to bug Amazon as well as I imagine they need to make that decision. Other than that, like the watch so far. Any info is appreciated.
Thanks,

@EPFB you could also create a suggestion here Feature Suggestions and people can vote for it. They say if it gets enough votes that Fitbit would take it incorporate it.

It's Pandora, or BYOM, for now. Fitbit has said they are also looking into partnerships with other online music services. And some of those services don't play well with each other. There's a whole period of negotiations, so I doubt anyone knows the answer about the if and when of Amazon Music.

100% agree. No need to pay for Pandora when I have an Amazon prime music account.
Very dissapointed i still have to bring my phone with me for music and cant control the music app with my fitbit ionic as i did with my blaze.
Please call amazon and get it done!

EXACTLY! I mean amazon already incorporated Fitbit in their Eco/Alexa devices, why not music. I really want to be able to get this feature, if this happens I’ll buy it, till then sticking with my blaze.

Totally agree! I use Amazon music and very disappointed Ionic can't receive streamed music. Who downloads anymore?! It's all about building cloud playlists. Come ON Fitbit developers, crack this needed feature!

I'm on the fence about an Ionic or Apple Watch 3. If the Ionic had the ability to stream from amazon that would make my decision for me.

But then again, can you stream Amazon music to an Apple Watch? Didn’t think you could. Certainly couldn’t when I had one.

So sad this has not been taken care of as of yet. I love my Amazon Music and my Ionic. At least allow us to control amazon music app from the watch. I can not get it to do that either.

I have both the ionic and the blaze. The blaze has no music app and never did. The blaze does not let you store music either. That's why I bought the Ionic which lets me store and play music through the music app. It would be nice to have Amazon music play through it. I do use Pandora but the the pay version so I can't use it through to the Ionic. What would be the point in paying for a second music service when I already have Amazon music which comes with with Prime.

I am not very technical does this mean I have to somehow save my music from amazon to somewhere else to then work it on my ionic? stressed
