So recently, after the previous update, the auto brightness feature is no longer functioning on my ionic. I restored to factory settings, reloaded the update and no change. I have just installed the latest update in hopes that would restore the auto brightness but no success.
Is there a hidden setting I'm missing?

Sounds like a defect...Send back to Fitbit.

Is auto brightness enabled in settings?

Yes it is. You can manually go through the settings and they all work fine. Just the auto is not working as it did out of the box.

The auto brightness isn’t really that noticeable straight away, and not very rapid changing. Ie moving from bright light to dim light doesn’t bring about a fast change in screen brightness. However I have noticed it working if my Ionic is under my cuff when the screen is activated, it will come on dim but as I move my wrist out the screen will brighten. So I know I know it works. But it’s not in the same league as a phone’s auto-brightness.

I have the same issue but it started a week after the update. Is there a way to test the ambient light sensor?
Also, if it a defect, to who do I send the unit to? I have purchased a warranty through Square Trade but this sounds like I should send it directly to Fitbit.
