Ionic Battery Draining Quickly

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi.

My partner and I bought Fitbit Ionics on the same day about mid October 2017 from. Currys/PC World.

Both batteries lasted days initially. His fitbit still does. Over the last month however my battery doesn't even last 24 hours. If I don't charge it in the evening it is dead by the morning. I have removed all apps I could... Only the essential apps I can't remove are left. I have the settings the same as my partner's.

I have tried the usual tricks... Soft reset, also factory reset, uninstalling and reinstalling the fitbit app on my phone (IPhone 6 plus). Nothing has helped. So I'm sure it's a faulty battery. How do I get Fitbit to look into the issue, and if they agree its the battery, then replace it for me?

You can attempt to contact Fitbit Support. It might be a month out of warranty though.

@Ali.F Welcome to the Fitbit forums! Thanks for reporting the situation you are experiencing with your Ionic's battery not lasting. Thanks for trying all of those steps in order to sort this out.

By any chance, are you performing GPS activities? GPS usage will drain the battery of your watch. Please check more tips to improve the battery on your watch here.

Also, customer support can be contacted via the link @Vash22 kindly shared on his post above. You could do this in case you think its needed. I can do so for you as well if you want, just check that article first and let me know!

Keep me posted! Smiley Happy

Hi Ron,

I have followed the details as per this email. The Fitbit was fully charged at 8.00 am yesterday morning, 19th November, I synced it 5 times as requested and by last night it was on 71%. This morning it was 35% and completely died by 2pm today. I have no notifications set up on it, no alarms and have not been checking my stats.

Thanks for your help with this matter.
