Ionic has not synced, despite all steps

I have searched all of the forums, tried all of the suggestions, phone restart, bluetooth upairing and repairing, Fitbit restart, downloading the Fitbit app on the computer, and still, my Ionic will not sync.

It's been since Monday, 1:29 p.m. (November 12), and it has not logged anything.  I get errors on the phone, restart bluetooth, tracker not found, or it just fails to sync and tells me the last date and time that it synced.  So, not only do I not have steps, activity, or sleep tracking, I don't receive notifications, which is important as a teacher.  It is also starting to become an issue with the time not being synced.

I then downloaded the app on my laptop and tried to force a sync from there, it is unable to pair with the Ionic.  Grrrrr....I've only had the Ionic since Christmas of last year.  My Charge HR was still working well after two years, I received the Ionic as a Christmas gift from my husband last year (he said it was time for me to update, lol).

Any further guidance would be greatly appreciated.  🙂

What phome are you using? Is it on the Supported Devices List?

LG V30, and I'm not sure, as I'm off of my computer now.

But now, I have deleted the Ionic from my account to reinstall it, and whether it is with my phone (LG V30 - I know, not a supported device, although it worked together up until 8 days ago) or with my laptop, it can not pair to set it back up in my account.  Please, I'm so frustrated, as this was a $300 Christmas present from my husband last year!

Nice to see that you're digging into the Forums @ZTeacher, let me give you a warm Welcome to our Community. Thanks for your comments @NellyGCat Happy

Thanks for participating in the Fitbit Forums and for sharing your experience.

If you haven't already done so I would like to suggest you the following:

  • Make sure the latest version of the Fitbit app is installed on your phone.
  • The software on your mobile device is up to date. To check, tap Settings > General > Software Update.
  • Make sure there are no other Bluetooth devices around as they might interfere with the syncing process

If your device still won't sync, try these steps:

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth off and back on.
  3. Open the Fitbit app.
  4. If your Fitbit device didn't sync, restart your phone.
  5. Open the Fitbit app.
  6. If your Fitbit device didn't sync, restart it one more time.
  7. If your Fitbit device won't sync after the restart, log in to your Fitbit account on a different compatible phone, tablet, or computer and try to sync.
  8. If your Fitbit device still doesn’t sync, remove all other Fitbit devices from your account and from the list of connected Bluetooth devices on your mobile device and try to sync.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted. Cat Very Happy
