Ionic Battery Drains Quick

Hi, I purchased an Ionic a few months ago and the battery was great, it would last me days even while running with GPS. Recently my Ionic battery completely drains to 0% from 100% in less than a day. No settings have changed and always connected is off. What could be causing this?

Hi @Nathan_H,

I have a question for you: I know that you mentioned that "Always Connected" is off, which is great. Is "All Day Sync" off as well? Both of these options will drain your battery.

Are notifications turned off too? These will also drain your battery.

Hi sorry it took so long to reply. I do have all day sync off but I did not have notifications off so I will try to see if that works for me. Thank you.

I realize this post was over 2 years ago but at that point Your Ionic was only a few months old. Suggestions to alter settings doesnt really get it. It worked fine for a couple months without you changing anything !

What was your fix Nathan ?

Im hoping to narrow down my issue of high drain with exercise enabled on a new Ionic. I ride my bicycle for 10 miles and the battery is dead from100% in about an hour !!

Hi! The way that I fixed this issue was by contacting the live chat fitbit support. They did a battery test and found that the battery was defective. I was sent a new Ionic and I still have it on right now.😁 Something else you could try is to disconnect from the app and see if it is the Bluetooth causing the drain or the watch itself. I wish you luck!
