I know there are other posts about this, but I'm disappointed with Fitbit and I want them to know. I have been a fitbit user for almost 5 years. I have purchased fitbits for family members, and spoke very highly of all the benefits of having one. I also found the app to be very helpful and easy to use. Been through a few devices, but kept going, my latest is the Ionic, I had it for over a year for sure, ran many races with it and was generally happy with the results. But just within the past few days my Ionic battery has not lasted more then 2 days. I can see if it was a gradual decline, but it wasn't, one day it just decided to not last. AND I read through all the other, very recent posts about the Ionic battery not lasting, and I don't need someone to tell me to do a factory reset and all the other standard. something happened.
Many of the posts I read mention the "Apple Trick", where Apple was sued for intentionally slowing down the performance fo their older models to encourage customers to buy a newer model. They had to pay out $500 million dollars!! so yea i'm mad at you Fitbit with my watch. I'm done and will be moving on. I encourage anyone else who is having this issue to create post about it.
Sincerely,
Very Disappointed

Hello @OCR_mudder, welcome to the Community Forums.
Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts and personal experience with your Fitbit device, I understand your situation and how frustrating this matter can be for you. I'd like to let you know that we are always striving to improve the Fitbit experience with our products and services, therefore, the feedback that's shared here in the Community Forums is always appreciated and really helpful for us to evaluate our procedures and make sure that we are delivering what our users want and need.
Let me share with you that the battery of our Ionic was designed to last 5 days, but this also depends on how frequently you use all the features of your device. That said, I recommend you charging your Fitbit device with a USB port from a computer or a UL-certified outlet into the wall and then turn off all the features that you don’t use that much.
After following the above information, please check this help article for more tips and recommendations. This article includes as restart process that will refresh the device's performance.
Let me know if further assistance is needed.

@RicardoFitbit I appreciate your copy and pasted email. As I have mentioned, I have been a Fitbit user for almost 5 years I think I know how to charge it. Thank you. I know my Ionic very well and what I'm trying to tell this community page is that something happened all of a sudden. All the post pertaining to the sudden battery depletion proves its not user error here. So I decided to entertain your copy and pasted advice and now my Ionic will not sync to my let alone start back up. So thank you for that!
I will continue to reply to everyones post about the Ionic battery "sudden" problems with my own copy and pasted response until Fitbit does something about it. Like I said, I know my device very well, and it going to working fine one day to not hold a charge to another is not user error, or battery lifespan. Its something Fitbit has done. I would really like to take a hammer to my fitbit right now.
Thank you for your assistance.

I just got my FitBit Ionic, MY VERY FIRST FITBIT, as a gift, LESS THAN A WEEK A GO! It worked absolutely Great until I had to finally charge it for the first time LAST NIGHT! It was fully charged this morning and now? It’s quickly gone from 100% to 64% to 58%! All within a few hours! What the heck!?!? Hey FitBit... Don’t tell me to factory reset or whatever as I have NO CLUE how to do that! If your company has done this ON PURPOSE you owe ME and a lot of other angry customers a NEW WATCH!
I am HIGHLY disappointed!
Amy

Hey FitBit Moderator,
THIS is a carbon copy reply! I literally just read this exact reply to someone else’s post from LAST YEAR!
My Ionic is LESS THAN A WEEK OLD! All of a sudden LAST NIGHT I charged it 100% and less than 24 hrs is less than 50%!?! Give me a break! I’m active but I’m not THAT active!
Figure out the problem and FIX IT!

Platitudes again from Fitbit, who don't care that their products don't perform and always blame the user.
My Ionic is no longer holding battery life. I don't have anything installed that I don't use. I don't charge via a computer. The only difference is after updates, the updates drain power.
I like my fitbit, but find the support you get when encountering problems completely useless. There is never any ownership of issues by fitbit, it is always the users fault
