My barely 2-week old Ionic screen display suddenly went black while on the treadmill. I did not bump it or otherwise damage it in any way. It also stopped syncing. The battery was 50% charged. I went to the help section and learned how to reset it by holding the 2 left buttons down for 15 seconds, nothing. Tried this while charging, nothing. (green light on back was on) Tried to sync, nothing.
I called FitBit customer support, they were very helpful and explained how to do a factory reset. This worked. (total time on phone less than 15 minutes)
I am going to suggest, that if you also experience this issue, PLEASE call customer service so they can track the number of times this happens. I am thinking it is a bug which can be fixed with an update.
Again, customer service was very helpful and very fast. Thank you FitBit customer service for your help, I will call again IF this happens again.

Thank you, I did look at all of the available help documents and this blog before calling customer service.
