Ionic Bluetooth not connecting

My Fitbit Ionic is about 21 months old. The other day while I was camping I noticed the time was off by a few minutes, odd but I carried on. The next day I noticed that it showing the fitbit icon the entire time I was walking and when I finally stopped to reset it it was about 3 hours off and I was only at 2500 steps around 10:30 AM (I average around 25k during these trips from 7AM to 7PM). I went for another walk and noticed that I was still at 2500 steps. So I reset it about 10 times that day. Then the next day I was trying to sync to the app and having all kinds of issues. In the process of troubleshooting I unpared with bluetooth on my phone. Finally I got it to register the steps by logging out and logging back in however now my phone and the fitbit app both cannot find the device. I am still getting the steps registered (sometimes) if I log out and log back in, but that is the only way I can sync it. Is there a way to get the fitbit to pair properly?

I should note that I already tried all of the recommended/ obvious options: restarting fitbit, restarting phone, reinstalling app, restarting bluetooth, trying in WiFi, trying in 4GLTE, etc.

Hey @krclark90 thanks for bringing this to my attention, it's a pleasure to assist you with your Ionic device.

Thanks for all the details that were shared in your post and for troubleshooting your Ionic prior posting, your effort and patience are appreciated. To better assist you, can you please let me know which mobile device you're currently using to sync your Fitbit? Even though some of the troubleshooting below were already tried, the order is important. Please try the following:

  1. Restart your Ionic.
  2. Please on the phone, go to Settings > Bluetooth, and remove all the connections that exist with the device. (Forget device, ignore or unpair depending on the version of the operating system of the phone)
  3. Turn off the Bluetooth and restart the phone. (Switch off and on again).
  4. When the iPhone 6s is back on, turn the Bluetooth on again but do not attempt to connect to the Fitbit from here.
  5. Go on the app and try setting up the Ionic as a new device.

Keep me posted.
