Ionic: Cannot download music using Fitbit Connect

I have a Fitbit Ionic and a MacBook Air with the latest operating system Big Sur.  I've been wanting to put music on my Ionic but I can't find the Fitbit Connect App anywhere.  When I find a link that says download Fitbit Connect it either brings me to help page with no download link, or to 404 page not found.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for the details that were shared, I understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. To download personal music and podcasts, your watch and computer must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. For more information about this, please check: How do I download playlists to my Fitbit watch?. Also, follow the steps below to verify your devices are connected to the same network and then try again to download your playlists:

1. In the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab > Then tap your profile picture 
2. Tap your watch tile > Wi-Fi Settings.
3. Make sure your watch and computer are connected to the same network. To see which network your computer is on, click the Wi-Fi symbol on your screen 
4. If your watch and computer are connected to different networks, manually connect your watch to the same network as your computer. Return to the Wi-Fi settings screen in the Fitbit app, tap the network name, and tap Connect.
5. Open the Music app on your watch and then tap Transfer Music to try again. Note that it may take up to a minute for your playlists to appear on your computer's screen. 

If you still have trouble downloading your playlists, complete the steps below:

1. Turn off Bluetooth on your phone; wait 10 seconds, and then turn it back on.
2. Sync your Fitbit watch with your dashboard. For instructions, see How do Fitbit devices sync their data?
3. Restart your watch by holding the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo.
4. Open the Music app on your watch and then tap Transfer Music. 
5. Remove all other Fitbit devices from your account and try again to download your playlists. For Windows 10, don't minimize the window until the transfer is complete.

Let me know if the issue persists.

Hi Ricardo,

I can't seem to find Fitbit Connect anywhere on the Fitbit website.  The help section says to go to Fitbit.com/setup which I do then I click download the Fitbit Connect link and it brings me right back to the help page.  Is there a different place to get Fitbit Connect?

I'm sorry to know that you're still experiencing difficulties with Fitbit Connect. To further investigate why can't you download this software, can you please let me know which web browser are you using? When was the first time you experienced this situation and how many times since then? Do you have access to another computer to try over there?

Hi Ricardo,

I have tried with both Safari and with Chrome.  They both did the same thing for me.  I only just tried this just before January 18th on this computer.  I have been using our other computer (an older iMac) but that one is quite a bit older and the Fitbit Connect is no longer working on it.  These are the only 2 computers we have.

Seems odd that you're still unable to download the Fitbit Connect software even after using different web browsers, I just tried to download it using a Windows 10 computer and also a Mac with no problem at all, can you please try to start the download using this link? Also, you can try to download Fitbit Connect from this page but before click on Download for Mac, at the bottom of the website you'll be able to change your location. Please change it to United States or Canada and let me know how it goes.

If you continue experiencing difficulties, please send me a screenshot of any error message or the help article you get while trying to download Fitbit Connect, this way I'll be able to escalate your concern.

I have downloaded the fitbit connect app successfully, however, the window never loads - just spins. I'm trying to transfer music to my versa 2 and it seems this app is the only way I can accomplish this. I've installed and uninstalled the app three times with no success in getting to the first window. 

Please assist.

I haven't added music to my fitbit in a while and I tried today and the fitbit app just spins as well. Is the fitbit connect app dead in the water?
