I bought my Ionic a about 12 months ago and about 2 months ago the battery started not holding a charge. I had to plug it in everyday. As of today it is dead. Black screen. I even tried a different usb plug and cleaned the charging cord and the back of the device. I am so beyond frustrated that I spend over $200 for your product that lasts me a year. Of course I can’t find any receipt because I expected it to work.

Funny, same thing happened to me over the weekend. I've had the Ionic for just over a year, been swimming plenty with it. Saturday I was in a pool, thought I should remove and when I put it back on it wouldn't turn on.

It really sucks to spend so much money to have the thing die and no Fitbit representative reply after several days. Are the Fitbit products going down hill in quality? I mean really...

Yes I see that many of them are dying just after the warranty expires. I have used a Fitbit for more than 10 years, one would think that might count for something. I have loved the device and community, but I refuse to buy a new device every year.

I purchase this Ionic thinking that will help me to check my sleep and be my daily companion during exercise or home workout. I used almost every day, but after a year of wearing it, the Ionic just turn off. I thought was that run out of battery. I did try to recharge it but did not work. The device do not take the charge and do not turn on. I follow the user Manual steps for restart it , but without success. Then the logical step was call Fitbit support center, but their response was simple your warranty expired so we can give you a discount to by another one.. If you are thinking to buy a smartwatch DO NOT BUY FITBIT unless you have plenty money to get one per year...

I already can answer that, I don’t have money to throw away every year. I already bought a different device that has all of the features that I want. It cost me $30 and the extended warranty cost $3 for an additional 3 years beginning after the original warranty expires.
