Fitbit Update: Fitbit OS2.1 has been released to 100% of users!
Hi all!
I am excited to announce the release of Fitbit OS 2.1! (Firmware Version: 27.32.10.15)
We've started to roll out this update to 10% of Ionic users. This is a progressive rollout, and all Ionic users can expect to have it within a few weeks. We roll out releases in phases as a cautionary measure so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed.
WHAT’S NEW
Introducing quick replies. Send customized responses to text messages and messages from select messaging apps with your Fitbit watch. Note that this feature is currently only available on watches paired to an Android phone. For more information, see How do I respond to messages with my Fitbit watch?
This release includes other bug fixes and improvements.
Step by step instructions for updating your Ionic can be found here.
I recommend updating your Ionic over a home Wi-Fi network as this can greatly reduce the time it can take to get set up. For more information on connecting your Ionic to Wi-Fi, check out this article.
If you run into any trouble updating your Ionic, I can also recommend reviewing these troubleshooting tips.
Looking forward to hearing everyone's feedback on the latest release. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know!

I read on another site that "To get started, you’ll need to update your Versa and Ionic to Fitbit OS version 32.32.10.11." On the day that the update was announced, I received a firmware update. My version is 27.32.10.15. I am unable to use the message reply feature. When will the latest firmware update be available to all Android users?

Hi everyone and welcome to the new users!
Thanks for sharing all these details, for the users that had reported black or unresponsive screens after the update I recommend performing the restart as a first step. If by any chance you're still having trouble please perform a factory reset: Just remember that a factory reset erases all apps and personal data from Ionic, including cards you
added in your Wallet.
Let me know how it goes, I'll be around!

Thanks for sharing all these details, for the users that had reported black or unresponsive screens after the update I recommend performing the restart as a first step. If by any chance you're still having trouble please perform a factory reset, follow the instructions below:
- Press and hold all buttons on the device.
- Wait until the Fitbit logo disappears, then release the bottom right button.
- Wait until you feel a vibration, then release the other buttons.
Let me know how it goes, I'll be around!
Triedall that and it didnt solve anything. Still having issues.

The same for me, I have a samsung s8.
I went on chat to customer service, as they aren't replying to emails, they went through the usual shut down restart, disable bluetooth etc. Until finally a factory reset, however this didn't work as the person from FitBit did not know it was in the Settings about menu, instead they asked me to press all 3 buttons.
Anyway the upshot is they are sending me a new Ionic, i just know that the upgrade to 27.32.10.15 will cause the same issues again as seems to be affecting most.
Ihave the Charge 2 and the HR so been with FitBit a while now, i am also starting to look elsewhere!

I really like my Fitbit ionic but if I could return it because of the replies from text message I would as well. No one has been helpful and trying to fix this from Fitbit they keep repeating the same instructions with no help so I feel your frustration.

Yes!
All is very frustrating!
No help from support, not sure if they really inform the programming team/man?

Yes, I’ve complied with reviewing that article because I’ve been advised to read it after the last time I had problems with the Sleep Stages not working. I’m wearing my Fitbit correctly, getting over 3hrs of sleep, not selecting ”Begin Sleep” and my battery is full.

Hi,
Since updating they ionic with the new iOS software that you presented to us my quick replies worked for 4 days as I've mentioned in the last four post. It worked for 4 days and then the reply button turned into a call Button. Do you have a call button function for ionic? As of now factory restart updating clearing catch Bluetooth wireless and Etc have not worked. The frustrating part is the reiterating of you and your colleagues of the same information that does not currently work. I appreciate the technology but when it doesn't work and you have no fix for it it seems like a lot of money for a pretty looking watch face.

I did a factory reset, then ran the update again. It calibrated after charging and its now back to working properly. Most of my data remained after the factory reset, which was surprising. I did have to customise again but that didn't take too long.
