Ionic GPS Won't Connect

I see many old threads on this topic but none seem to have answers. 

 

My Ionic is 13 months old (or course 1 month past warranty!!!) and will no longer connect to the GPS.  I have done a factory reset.  I have tried setting it outside by itself with a clear view of the sky for up to 20 mins.  I have restarted it many times.  This isn't just happening in my neighbourhood (and I dont live in the middle of no where), but everywhere I have tried.   I typically had always had to set it down for a couple of mins to connect but now it never does.  

 

Has there ever been a solution to this?  This is the reason I bought this watch and I feel like it should work for more than 13 months!

I had this problem too. I found that just setting up GOS on the AP is not enough. When you select run, a cog wheel for settings should be in the corner. You have to click this also and set it to GPS.
