Ionic GPS accuracy

is there anyway to make the gps on the ionic to track my runs better. Ran the same route 2 times now and both lock a lot different (second run forgot to turn it on until about 1 mile in)

There've been a number of problems in recent times with the Ionic's GPS features, with it sometimes taking extra time for the GPS to lock on, or it recording areas traveling in a straight line with a jagged line (increasing distance traveled).

seems like since the last firmware update I've had trouble with Ionic's GPS. I'm actually considering leaving fitbit. This was reported originally back in January on the message boards, and no word on a new firmware release, or really even acknowledging that there is a problem. 

 

I gotta say I love your run through the river the 2nd time around. haha.

Thank you for the info. I have switched temp. to using the Strava app on my phone which tracks my runs really good but downside is I have to carry my phone while running. I hope there will be an update soon or I will be switching to a different GPS watch.

P.S  river is really cold   hahaha
