Ionic - Heart rate sensor protective layer

Hello there, Fitbit community. First time poster. 

Upon closer inspection, I noticed something that looks like a plastic layer over the sensors. 

My questions are:

  1. Is this removable?
  2. Should I remove it?
  3. Does it affect the heart rate sensor accuracy?
  4. Should I be worrying about this, at all?

Welcome to the Community @DiegoKanto. Thanks for the details mentioned and the screenshot shared. 

 

The plastic that your Ionic shows doesn't look removable. You may want to double check Ionic's Product Manual to learn more about its features.
