Ionic Losing GPS Connection, Unable To Reconnect

I've found on a couple of my runs that the GPS connection drops out, and the Ionic is unable to reconnect. As a result my pace data and GPS tracking is way off, which is disappointing. This has happened twice so far, and I have lost up to half of the data from each run.

 

Is this a known issue, and if so is there a firmware update in work to resolve this? I am frustrated and considering moving to another device.

It won’t... has anyone seen a reply of a Fitbit moderator to this chat
which is opened for months ?
I think they simply don’t care and this won’t be fixed or cannot be fixed...

Any news? Should I just try and send back the ionic? Can you still get a Fitbit surge if their gps works? I’m thinking maybe Apple with gps...

Another Ionic dropping GPS here. I'm about to go back to Garmin.
