Ionic - No Option to Quick Reply

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I updated the iOS. Quick replies worked for about 2 days and now it has a read feature instead of reply. Now I can't reply I can only call, read and clear. Read is pointless because you can automatically read the message. Is this something other people are getting as we'll?

@Superdadof2 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! Thanks for reporting the situation you are experiencing with Quick Replies.

From what app are you receiving the notifications?  If you don't see the option to "reply" to the message is because Quick Replies aren't available for the app that sent the notification.

The apps that will let you send Quick Replies from your watch are the following:

  • Text Messages
  • Whatsapp
  • Twitter
  • Facebook Messenger
  • WeChat
  • Line

Hope this helps. Please keep me posted! Smiley Happy

Hi

Thank you for replying.  I had messaging app standard for Android Galaxy and that did not work after reading reviews I tried pulse and that's when it worked. After 4 days of it working the reply button turned into a reed button. So just confused why it worked for 4 days and then stopped.

Hi,

I'm not seeing the option to set up quick replies from the notification menu  (for any app!) - the menu item for this feature just does not exist...!?

I did the os update that told me I'd be able to reply, but the options not there, so can I force an os update to see if that resolves the issue..?

@Move4Fitness what model phone do you have? Quick replies are only available for Android phones (and then only Android 7 and above).

@Move4Fitness Welcome to the Fitbit Community! Thanks for your interest in the Quick Replies feature. Thanks for updating your watch.

Just as @sfringer kindly informed, Quick Replies are only available for Android devices for the moment. If you are using an iOS device; that will be the reason why you don't see the option.

If this is the case, I'd recommend casting a vote and leaving a comment on this Feature Suggestion:

The idea is marked as "Under Consideration" so there's a big chance for this to happen. We shall wait and see.

Hope this helps. Keep me posted! Smiley Happy

@Cal6404 Welcome back to the Community. Thanks for getting in touch about this.

Quick replies are available for Fitbit Ionic and on devices paired to an Android phone. If your watch is paired to an iPhone or Windows 10 phone, you can only respond to Fitbit app notifications such as cheers, taunts, and friend requests. Learn more about it by checking this article
