Hello,
For the past three days I haven't received any notifications on my Ionic. It was working fine before. The sync service between the watch and the app works fine. I did some troubleshooting and this is what I found. First let me give you the info:
Phone: Razer (Android)
OS 7.1.1
Ionic Firmware version: 27.32.419
Troubleshooting:
1) Uninstalled and reinstalled the fitbit app on my phone. Notifications worked for a couple of hours then stopped again.
2) Followed all the steps in (https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1610/?l=en_US&c=Topics%3ATroubleshooting&fs=Sear...). Still no solution.
I will consider doing a factory reset on the watch and see what happens but I have an issue with fitbit. Does the app do logging or any form of logging to see what could be causing the issue(s)? I understand the watch is doing the initial function which is to sync fitness data to the app but it is still annoying if you offer this feature and it does not work as designed.

I am having the same issues. I used to be able to swipe right and you could turn them off and on from there. However, after the last update, that option is not there anymore and I have not received notifications in 2 weeks. I have enabled notifications on my phone as well as in the app, and still no. The phone and Ionic sync together, so I am unsure of what happened.

Hi smith4ad,
Is your phone Android or IOS? Just curious.

Update:
I reset my Ionic and reinstalled the fitbit app on my phone. I was able to connect the watch to the app and update the watch to the fitbit os 2.0. I was able to get one phone call on my ionic and that was it. It stopped sending notifications again.
The fitbit data syncs without any issues. I honestly do not think the watch is the issue. I believe the fitbit app is the culprit. There are other issues I see where the app keeps telling me to restart my phone to fix notifications only to say the same thing once the phone is restarted, so again the app works for fitbit data (same as the blaze, charge) but the notifications (which I now feel is an added functionality and not part of the core fitbit OS).

Update 2
I reached out to Fitbit support on Twitter to help in any way and here was the response:
Thanks for the info. Please note that Razer phone is not yet a compatible device so not all features are guaranteed to work. Please see our device support list at https://t.co/xrHgOwGw5s. Our team is still testing other devices for compatibility with our products & services. In the meantime, try using a compatible device. Rest assured we're striving to improve our products and services as well as the compatibility. We appreciate your understanding.
Now keep in mind that this was working before so the issue is software related. This started happening when Fitbit updated their app.

Update 3.
As I mentioned in my first post my Android OS was 7.1.1. I got an update from Razer to update the OS to 8.1. I went ahead and did that. After updating the OS my notifications started working again.

I noticed the same thing. I finally figured out that with the update - you must have sound on in order for the notifications to come through. I turn mine down as low as possible to get notifications. For me - this update is annoying and counter productive as my sound needs to be off 99% of the time due to my environment. Now I have another firmware update and I can't find any information on what's being updated or changed.

My Galaxy S8 received update and ionic doesn't show any notifications now. Notifications engine of ionic was not very reliable from the beginning, but now it's absolutely unacceptable.
