Ionic Not Able to Log In and Exercise App Crashing

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

1) My exercise app has crashed 3 times in two week. Twice, when i was in the gym and the other time when i was outdoor in a park, jogging.

2) i have also been having troubles trying to login to my fitbit apps. My Fitbit password is always not recognised and when i change it to using my google account for login. I will keep getting the no internet connection error message.

3) now i can't even access my apps on my Fitbit app on my android phone (Samsung S8). I will get the no internet connection error every time.

It is increasing frustrating to use Fitbit watch. My old tomtom runner has not given me any problems at all.

Who can help me? Thanks.

@Eugsiow Welcome to the Fitbit family! Thanks for taking the time to report the situation you are experiencing with your Ionic. Thanks for sharing the details of each of the difficulties you are having with it.

Regarding the Exercise app crashing; this is something that is currently being checked by Fitbit. The team has received your reports and is working on a solution. Please answer the following questions:

  1. How long were they running the exercises?
  2. What type of exercise were they running (e.g. using GPS or not)?
  3. Were they listening to music on their device when doing the exercise, etc?

That will help the team to know more about this issue. In the meantime, please manually log your activities for you to not loose any data.

Regarding the difficulty of not being able to log in; do you mean to your profile on the Fitbit app? Please double check you have Internet connection on your phone. Something you could do if you keep experiencing the same is rebooting your phone and trying to log again. If that doesn't work; please try uninstalling the app and re installing it.

Hope this helps. Keep me posted! Smiley Happy

  1. How long were they running the exercises?                                     My exercise usually lasts for about an hour or so. But the crash usually happens about 15mins into the workout.
  2. What type of exercise were they running (e.g. using GPS or not)?    I do treadmill, weights training and outdoor jogging with gps. It has crashed in all situations.
  3. Were they listening to music on their device when doing the exercise, etc?                                     I will always listen to my Spotify on phone with wireless headphones.

@Eugsiow Thank you very much for sharing that information. This helps Fitbit a lot to keep investigating and find a solution soon.

Please do keep manually log your activities for you to not loose any data. I understand this is not the best solution available, but the team is working hard to get this sorted.

Thank for your patience. Keep me posted!
