Ionic Overcounting Steps

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just got my ionic a week ago and it is seriously overcounting my steps. I’ve barely done anything today and I looked at my watch and it said I took 63,000 steps!?

This is really irritating considering how much I spent.

Can someone help? I’ve already restarted it a few times.

@Bplahn Welcome to the Fitbit Community! That is very strange! Thanks for performing the restart process a few times. This is always useful.

Your Ionic should reset itself at midnight. As you already performed the restart, it should not over count your steps once again today. How is it performing after that day it over counted?

Some tips/settings to have the most accurate step count possible with your Ionic are the following:

You should note a difference after doing the above.

Also, if you ever wish to delete any erroneous step count tracked; please check this workaround that should help with that.

Please try that out and let me know how it goes! Smiley Happy
