Is anyone else here as annoyed by how difficult it is to remove the ionic? Wondering if it's just me or a concensus?

yes - sorry if unclear.  Removing it from my wrist seems to be quite a chore as the secondary buckle keeps it from coming out smoothly and the clasp latch reinserts itself.

It's not the easiest to work, but maybe the idea was to minimize the chance of the band coming apart and losing the tracker?

There are lots of 3rd party bands also, that have different clasping mechanisms, like magnetc, that might be worth a look.

I pretty quickly switched to another band that was way more flexible and has lots of holes in it so that it wasn't so warm on my wrist.  I got it off eBay for less than $10.

Just make sure that you VERY firmly attach any new band.  Don't be afraid to give it a couple of good strong tugs.
