Ionic Screen Blacked After Update - Cannot Restart

A couple days ago my my Fitbit app said there was an update for my Ionic. I updated, and my screen has not been seen since. I have tried the left & bottom right button reset countless times. I can see on my app that the Ionic is charged and tracking steps. Called customer service today - they had me try to re-install my Ionic as a replacement device... Now it is asking for the 4-digits that appear on the screen... Which is not displaying anything. Best option I have been given so far is a 35% off a new device coupon. I just want this $250 device to work again as I didn't break it.
