I currently own a Blaze but I am always looking for the newest technology. I am disappointed to see that the new Ionic appears to only have the option of using the on-board GPS. Battery life of my watch is a top priority and it still looks like the Ionic takes a serious battery hit during on-board GPS usage. Why not allow a connected GPS for times when mt smartphone is available and receiving a good GPS signal in addition to using the on-board GPS? Connected GPS is only software and no additional hardware should be necessary. If this becomes available on the Ionic I will make the switch from my Blaze. Thanks!

I agree!
Some on here will tell you it's not needed just because they have no use for it, but the option to choose would be very beneficial in certain situations.
