Yesterday my Ionic was stuck on the logo screen for several hours despite trying to restart it, charge it, etc. After a few hours of that, the screen just went to black with faint blue lines around the edges. My iPhone keeps looking for it but it's not connecting. My Ionic is just over a year old. I use my Ionic daily and thought it would last a little longer than a year. It seems like this is a common issue - are there any re-set or re-start options that actually work?

Mine just went completely blank. Won't come back on.

My ionic will not power back on after following their troubleshooting steps....they offered me 25% at first towards another fitbit.......then they offered me 40% towards a new fitbit....the one I have is 14 months old....why would I spend the money on another device, that is going to quit working in a year?

It seems many people had problems with their Ionics this past weekend - what's up with that? Is it coincidence? I'm really disappointed that it didn't last more than just over a year. I also am very hesitant to spend money on another one if it's going to have such a short life span.

This is my second Ionic. The first one I had was purchased in November 2017, that one made it to August 2018 before the screen failed. Thin colored lines started to appear and they got worse every day until I called and they replaced it. It took about three (3) weeks for Fitbit to send me the replacement device. The new replacement device almost made it to 12 months but has now failed with the similar issues you are having. It stopped syncing with my phone about a week ago and I went through the process of restarting and setting it up as a new device on my phone but it would stop syncing within an hour. Per the trouble shooting steps I attempted to perform a factory re-set on the Ionic. This hosed the device. It is now stuck in a situation where I just get a blinking blue logo that never clears. I called support and they will do nothing to help. The response I got from both people I spoke with is simply that the dive has failed and it is out of the original warranty period so my only choice would be to purchase a new device with a 40% discount. Their offered price is $149.97.
My recommendation is to stay away from Fitbit devices all together. The person I spoke with admitted that Fitbit does not stand behind the quality of their devices. They have a 12 month warranty period that starts with the purchase date of the original device. Replacement devices carry no warranty at all so if your replacement device fails outside of the original purchase time frame they won't fix or replace a failing device. These devices are overpriced garbage, Fitbit knows it and they admit that it is the case because they will not stand behind their product.

Mine is dead too. It synced Saturday morning at 5:42am. When I went to check the time at 7am it was dead. I was in bed the whole time so nothing happened to the tracker. Nothing is working and it won't restart. Charging does nothing though the battery had 99% the day before. I'm going to contact customer support but I'm not expecting any fix. I've been checking out the new Samsung tracker. Looks like it can do everything the Ionic does and maybe a little more. For the kind of money I spent on the Ionic, I expected it to last longer.
