Ionic Stuck on Set Up

Hi all, my ionic stopped displaying data on the watch, however all info was still being recorded on the app. (IOS)

Was advised by “help” to do a full reset of the watch, did so and now I’m stuck?

1) The watch displaysys a message  “not all data deleted”. Tried again to reset, same result.

2)  Went ahead and tried to re- install anyway (a number of times), startup downloads just fine but will not complete the “install” stage, and that’s where I’m stuck 🤷‍:male_sign:. Any ideas from the techno savvy people out there?

@Cloudhopper Welcome to the Fitbit Community! Thanks for taking the time to share the experience you are having with Ionic being stuck. Thanks for contacting customer support and for trying the steps provided in order to sort this out.

 

That could be happening as a result of your watch having a pending firmware update. Please try the steps shown here to update it.

 

Also, by install you mean the set up process? If possible, share a picture of your tracker showing the issue. That way I can take a closer look at this.

 

By any chance, did you reported this back to customer support? They should be able to follow up with you and help out as you already have an open case with them.

Hi Santifitbit, thank you for the response.

i have tried basically everything you have suggested with no luck.

I am just unable to get further than the download stage. Installation just does not complete.

I'm attaching a pic of the problem in resetting the watch and the message, unable to go back and re-syncs / clear etc.

 The ionic was working perfectly until  few days ago when the watch itself stopped showing data. Everything was however still being recorded on the App.

i did send an e mail to help desk and was told to do a full reset. Tried a dozen times now and the same message always appears. Tried proceeding with the reload (download seems to complete ok) but failed at installation each time. All that shows on the watch face is the flashing Fitbit blue logo.
